The LaFerrari was designed under Flavio Manzoni for Centro Stile Ferrari and was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. It was developed as a technological showcase to celebrate the automaker’s 70th anniversary and served as the brand’s flagship model like the 288 GTO, F40, F50, and Enzo before it. The open-top Aperta variant was launched in 2016 and features a longer front air dam, re-angled radiators, and revised aerodynamics, wheel arches, and door opening angles compared to the hardtop variant
The LaFerrari utilizes uses a carbon-fiber monocoque structure designed by Ferrari’s F1 technical director Rory Byrne. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a quad-exit exhaust, a rear camera and parking sensors, enamel Scuderia Ferrari door shields, bi-xenon headlights, and a carbon-fiber windshield frame and roof trim panel, which was a $41k option. A visible carbon-fiber hardtop was also optioned at a cost of $71k.
